Hey There!

I'm Jess, a children's yoga teacher in Upstate, South Carolina. My yoga journey has always centered around the mindful aspects of the practice. As a mom to two kids, some of those practices have shifted along the years to bring my kids along for the journey.


I intentionally weave mindfulness, movement, and educational learning into each yoga class. My goal is to empower children with tools to help them manage stress and establish a strong foundation for their lives, all while instilling a love of learning.

My Story

My interest in alternative education began while working at the Orlando Science Center. Seeing how kids responded to learning by doing, by movement, had a profound impact on my life. I later worked at Naropa University, a Buddhist-inspired college, where my connection with yoga and mindfulness deepened. 


As a homeschooling parent, I incorporate mindfulness and movement into our lessons. Seeing my children utilize these mindful techniques in times of stress and discomfort inspired me to become a children’s yoga teacher and share these tools with as many children as possible!


My yoga classes combine storytime, movement, mindfulness, and crafts to engage kids. I believe that kids learn best with a multi-sensory approach; connecting mind and body leads to a deeper understanding of the subject. Kids will leave class with a better understanding of themselves and the world around them.
